Your Parrots Diet

FRUIT AND VEGETABLES

These days parrots are much healthier, brighter and far more energetic  when fed the correct diet of fruit and vegetables as part of their daily diet. ALL FRESH FRUIT AND VEGETABLES SHOULD BE WASHED THOROUGHLY BEFORE FEEDING TO YOUR PARROT.

FRESH FRUITS INCLUDE

Apples, oranges, bananas, cherries, strawberries, figs, papaya, coconut, sharon fruit, plums, raspberries, pineapple, mangoes, kiwi, fruit, melons, pears, grapes, peaches, blueberries, nectarines, grapefruit, guava, mulberries, tomato and nectarines.

GREEN VEGETABLES

Broccoli, celery, lettuce, cabbage, cucumber, peas and spinach, chickweed, dandelion, dock, shepherd`s purse, sow thistle, watercress, zucchini and green beans and peas in the pod.

YELLOW AND RED VEGETABLES

Corn on the cob, yellow red and orange peppers, parsnips, chilies red and green, sweet potatoes and carrots.

SEED MIXES

It is important that your seed mix is of good quality and free from dust and dirt. Good quality seed mix will result in a healthier parrot for life.

WATER

Clean fresh water needs to be readily available at all times, free from dust or food debris, It should be changed at least once a day.
